Quilting Class: Beginning Quilting - Yellow Brick Road Quilt Top

Have you admired your friend’s quilt and want to learn how to quilt? We want to share the excitement of creating a basic quilt. Students will learn precise cutting and seaming techniques while making a small quilt using the tried and true Yellow Brick Road pattern by Atkinson Designs. This 3 day class is the perfect way to get you started.

Materials List:
Yellow Brick Road pattern (supplied at shop for FREE)
6 Fat Quarters (you can use more if you want more variety)
1/4 yard Fabric (for practice cutting & piecing)
1 1/2 yard Border and Binding Fabric
3 yards Backing Fabric (not needed for class but needed to finish the quilt)
45 mm Rotary Cutter with blade
6 1/2” x 24” Ruler
Self Healing Cutting Mat ( at least 24”x36”)
50 weight thread
Pins
Sewing machine (in good working condition w/a bobbin and power cord)
1/4” Machine Foot (if your machine has one)
