Quilting Class: Blue Onion Quilt (Intermediate Quilting)

Have you been wanting to expand your skills by learning how to sew curves? The Blue Onion Quilt is a great curve beginner project since the blocks are over sized and trimmed to size.

This is a 1-day or 2-day class where you will learn how to make a "Blue Onion Quilt".  Be sure to have your pattern and ruler as necessary!

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS:
3/8 yd each of 6 different dark value prints
3/8 yd each of different medium value prints

                                    OR

3/8 yd each of 12 different contrasting prints
Binding: 5/8 yd
Backing: 3 ½ yards

OTHER SUPPLIES:
Piecing Thread
Pins
Scissors
Sewing Machine (in good working condition)
Blue Onion Pattern
Optional – Ovals Always CGRKAOVAL by Creative Grids

Homework

Please cut your 12 fabrics into rectangles according to the first cutting direction of the pattern.

*We will use the Ovals Always Ruler in class to cut the curves. A couple of rulers will be available
